The Council of Community Living Ontario and People4People Self-Advocacy Group have teamed up to present an upcoming webinar.

On Wednesday, June 28 at 6:00-7:00 pm, join us online for a virtual webinar, titled “Aging in Place and Ensuring People Stay Out of Institutions.

To register, please go to: bit.ly/CLO-AgingInPlace

This webinar is for Self- Advocates, people supported, their families, and community members. During the webinar, you’ll hear about many perspectives on the ongoing concern of aging in one’s own home and getting people who have an intellectual disability out of long-term care facilities. Members of Council of Community Living Ontario and People4People will share their perspectives on the way people are moved into large institution-like settings which are not fulfilling the needs of each person individually. The purpose of this webinar is to create awareness about the challenges faced by people who have a disability and realizing the significance of advocating together by collaborating and creating a collective voice to bring about a positive change.

We welcome you all to attend and please share this within your networks.
