CLGW Connects With The Community At The Guelph District Multicultural Festival

Over 100 people took part in our Piece of the Pie (POP) project at our booth during the Guelph and District Multicultural Festival this past weekend.

From June 12–14, Community Living Guelph Wellington (CLGW) proudly participated in the Guelph and District Multicultural Festival as a community booth partner. The festival gave us a wonderful opportunity to connect with community members, raise awareness about developmental services, and share information about the people we support and the services we provide.

One of the highlights of the weekend was our Piece of the Pie (POP) project, which welcomed more than 112 participants, including people we support, staff, families, and festival attendees. Visitors also enjoyed snacks, great conversations, and learning more about CLGW. But the real hit was the bubbles—everyone loved them, from children to adults!

The festival featured live music, cultural performances, local vendors, food trucks, and community organizations, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

“Community events like the Multicultural Festival help us build connections, increase awareness, and showcase the value of inclusion. Every conversation helps more people learn about CLGW and the important work happening in our community.” — Cindy K., Executive Director

A special thank you goes to our dedicated volunteers who helped run the booth throughout the weekend. Their time, energy, and passion made our presence at the festival possible.

Looking ahead, CLGW will be participating in the Fergus Fall Fair from September 18–20. Interested in volunteering at future community events? Extra hands are always welcome! Contact Karen at KarenCalzonetti@clgw.ca to learn more.
