Dear friend of Community Living Guelph Wellington,

On behalf of Community Living Guelph Wellington, I have both the pleasure and sadness to announce the retirement of our Director of Service, Debb Young.

Debb is a well-known face here at CLGW, dedicating more than 39 years of thoughtfulness, expertise and skill to the services we provide. Debb’s collaborative leadership, and experience in developmental services has helped shape our organization, and she has been integral to our success and growth.

Her tenure began as a Direct Support Professional and Debb has held a variety of roles within CLGW over her years. She has dedicated her entire career to developmental services and CLGW. Through her time, she has seen a lot of change and growth. Debb was our historian and an incredible person-centred champion. She is known for her compassion, her innovative approach to finding the right solution, and her good natured-ways of always being available for others.

For all of this and so much more, we are grateful for Debb’s time, commitment, and leadership.

Debb’s retirement is effective as of June 29, 2022.

To help us send Debb off on a happy note, we are hosting two gatherings to celebrate her accomplishments. We will celebrate in:

• Guelph on Tuesday, June 28 from 10am-11:30am at 8 Royal Rd.
• Harriston on Wednesday, June 29 from 1pm-3pm at 106 Thomas St.
